Emtek invests $210 million in Grab

PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi Tbk (Emtek), parent company of Surya Citra Televisi (SCTV), in June injected $210 million or Rp3.09 trillion worth of capital to PT. Grab Teknologi Indonesia. With this investment, Emtek raised its ownership in Grab to 5.88% from 2.68%.

Emtek Corporate Secretary Titi Maria Rusli stated that this transaction was made not only to support the company’s main business, but also to support its position as a renowned tech company. Emtek has invested a total of Rp5.5 trillion in Grab.

Grab in April made an investment in Emtek via private placement by H Holdings Inc. This move marked the beginning of a collaboration between Grab and Emtek in developing digital, media and health services.
