SKIMS by Kim Kardashian to design Team USA’s underwear

SKIMS by Kim Kardashian recently secured their biggest deal yet, being named as the official designer for Team USA’s undergarments, pajamas and loungewear for the Tokyo Olympics. The world-renowned business owner Kim Kardashian stated that the same pieces designed for this occasion would be available in a capsule collection.

Five Team USA athletes modelled for these garments: Alex Morgan, A’ja Wilson, Scout Bassett, Dalilah Muhammad and Haley Anderson. Peter Zeytoonjian, senior vice president of consumer products at US Olympic and Paralympic Properties (USOPP), expressed his full support of this partnership and said that the brand is a “perfect fit” for Team USA.

Forbes estimated that Kim Kardashian has managed to raise her net worth from $780 million to $1 billion in October 2020 from her investment in SKIMS and her KKW Beauty cosmetics business. SKIMS was launched two years ago under the name Kimono which they dropped after being accused of cultural appropriation.
