Semesta Akademi to launch new programmes in collaboration with experts in creative industry

E-learning platform Semesta Akademi will launch six new programmes in collaboration with experts in the creative industry. The launch is in accordance with its mission to support the sustainable growth of the creative industry.

Carrying an interactive concept, Semesta Akademi collaborates with Maudy Ayunda, Gina S. Noer, Thinking Room, Desy Bachir, Agung Hapsah and INFIA.

Maudy Ayunda will share her experience in implementing her leadership skills on the Creative Leadership programme. Co-founder of Wahana Edukasi Gina S. Noer, who is also known as the woman behind the movies “Posesif” and “Dua Garis Biru”, will cover a topic about storytelling and scriptwriting.

Marketing practitioner Desy Bachir will talk about branding and marketing foundation, while Eric Widjaja will lead the visual design and branding programme. Agung Hapsah will handle the Creating High Quality Content for Business programme and INFIA, the media group behind @bapak2id, @tahilalats and @dagelan, will share their insights surrounding social media and intellectual property.

Through the project, both Semesta Akademi and participating experts seek to answer the challenges faced by the creative industry, namely industry dynamics and local and global competition.

Semesta Akademi decided to focus on the creative industry as it noticed that in the past few years, the Indonesian creative industry continues to grow at a rapid pace. Therefore, it is necessary to encourage the birth of high quality and highly competitive human resources. The creative industry is one of the foundations of the Indonesian economy. According to the 2020 Creative Economy OPUS report, the creative economy sub-sector contributed Rp1,211 trillion to the national Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

Semesta Akademi was founded last year. It aims to be a forum or platform that brings together creative talents and industry experts so that they can exchange experience and in-depth knowledge through interactive teaching and learning sessions in order to grow a sustainable creative industry ecosystem.

“I believe that the learning process at Semesta Akademi is not conducted in only one direction. There are definitely many insights needed for the sustainability of the creative industry. At the end of the day, the creative world, including films, certainly needs more fresh minds,” said Gina.
