WIR Group to launch the first phase of metaverse prototype in November 2022

After the success of its IPO last month, WIR Group is back with the latest news, namely the launch of its prototype metaverse. The prototype will reportedly be launched in coincidence with the G-20 Summit which will be held in Bali.

WIR Group carries the theme "a liveable metaverse for everyone" where users will enjoy an immersive experience through digital reality that combines augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR) and artificial intelligence (AI) at once. To support this digital experience, WIR Group has signed various memorandums of understanding (MoU) with various entities.

Reportedly, the metaverse platform will feature sectors that are collaborating with WIR Group based on the last collaboration. "Sectors that will occupy the metaverse certainly need to be selected based on the readiness of the sector itself in adopting digital technology and of course it will enrich the ecosystem," said WIR Group in a statement to TFR. WIR Group also explained that the platform will show Indonesia's potential through digital realities, such as buildings, land and avatar creation.

In addition to business entities, WIR Group in building its metaverse also collaborates with academics, observers, communities and the media to enrich the content in it.
