Garuda collaborates with The Goods Dept on vintage merch
To commemorate Indonesia's 76th Independence Day, Garuda Indonesia collaborated with The Goods Dept to release vintage-themed merchandise. The collection features Garuda Indonesia’s vintage logo from the 1970s.
The merchandise includes unisex bomber jackets, two models of tote bags, duffel bags and a range of accessories. These merchandise are available on The Goods Dept’s official website and Garuda Indonesia’s GarudaShop.
President Director of Garuda Indonesia Irfan Setiaputra hoped that the flag carrier's collaboration with The Goods Dept can raise the spirit of nationalism and inspire and explore the potentials in Indonesian youth to create the best works.
He added that the vintage themed exclusive collection “represents Garuda Indonesia’s role in and contribution to Indonesia's history, especially as a provider of public transportation and logistics throughout the archipelago.”
Founder and CEO of The Goods Dept Anton Wirjono believed that the collaboration between Garuda Indonesia and the “karya anak bangsa” retail company will definitely inspire a sense of nationalism among Indonesian youth. “(This collaboration) is also a form of commitment to supporting the Bangga Buatan Indonesia national movement," he added.
